Petrol Becomes 10 Rupees Cheaper

The Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced new petrol prices on Thursday. In a televised address, he announced that the price of petrol has been cut by Rs. 10 and that of diesel has been reduced by Rs. 7.5 per liter.

The new prices will be implemented from December 16th, 2022, and will remain unchanged till December 31st, 2022.

New Petrol Prices 

After the latest reduction in petrol prices, petrol now costs Rs. 214.8 as compared to the old price of Rs. 224.8.

Meanwhile, the new rate for High-Speed Diesel is Rs. 227.8 instead of  Rs. 235.3.

And the new rate of Kerosene Oil, after a reduction of Rs. 10, is Rs. 171.83 against the old price of Rs. 181.83.

The price of Light Diesel Oil also saw a cut of Rs. 10 and now costs Rs. 169 compared to the previous rate of Rs. 179.

In his address, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar also stated:

 “At this moment, the prime minister wants us to pass maximum relief to the public, and we have been implementing that since Oct 30. According to our calculations, petrol prices will be reduced by Rs10 to Rs214.8 after midnight. [The price of] high-speed diesel will be decreased by Rs7.5 to Rs227.80.”

The previous prices for petroleum products on Oct 15, Oct 30, and Nov 15 were unchanged by the government.

A price cut of Rs10 for kerosene oil was earlier announced on Nov 30, while a reduction of Rs7.5 per liter was announced for light diesel oil.
