Peugeot 3008 Vs Peugeot 5008 – A Comparison
Earlier, we discussed the salient specs and features of Peugeot 3008 and 5008, and now we are going to compare both compact SUVs. The former is a C-Class Compact Crossover SUV, and the latter is also a C-Class Compact SUV, but with 7 seats.
And without any further delay, here is the comparison between these vehicles.
Dimensions
The 3008 is 4450mm Long, 1850mm Wide, 1620mm High with a 2675mm Wheelbase. In comparison, 5008 is 4640mm in Length, 1840mm in Width, 1640mm in Height, with 2840mm in Wheelbase. It means the second car is longer and higher with more Wheelbase against its competitor.
However, both cars have the same Ground Clearance of 219mm.
Exterior
If we compare the exterior, we will know that both cars are quite similar in this category as both come with LED Headlights, DRLs, Rear Lights and 18-inch Alloy Wheels.
Engine and Transmission
The engine size of both cars is also the same as they come with a 1.6L Turbocharged Pure Tech Engine. However, there is a difference in Horsepower as 3008 generates 162hp compared to 181hp of 5008. The reason behind more Horsepower in 5008 is its size, which is bigger than 3008; hence Peugeot has boosted the engine’s power so that car would not be sluggish. Lastly, both competitors produce the same 250Nm torque.
If we compare the Transmissions in these crossovers, Peugeot is offering a 6-Speed Automatic in both of them with Front Wheel Drive (FWD) Drivetrain.
Interior
There are a lot of similarities in the interior, too, as both have a 10-inch Floating Touchscreen Infotainment System, Dual Zone Climate Control, Driving Modes, Push Start, Smart Key Entry and Panoramic Sunroof. In short, there is not much difference between these two; however, once launched, we will bring a detailed comparison for you to know the differences (if any) between these two vehicles.
Safety
And now let us discuss the safety features in Peugeot 3008 and 5008 as both have 6 Airbags, Hill Start Assist, ABS + Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) + Emergency Stability Program (ESP), Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear View Camera, Parking Sensors and Lane Departure Warning System. So, all in all, both cars have almost similar safety features as 5008 comes with some additional ones like Speed Limit Sign Recognition and Advanced Grip Control.
