KARACHI: Premier Systems (Pvt.) Ltd. has issued a statement dismissing all the circulating allegations about Audi’s operations as “false and misleading,” saying vehicle sales, service, warranty support, and the import of vehicles and genuine Audi parts remain uninterrupted.

The company said its long-standing partnership with Audi AG “remains strong, fully aligned, and beyond question,” and that any claims of disruption to imports or parts supply are “categorically false.”

Here’s the statement that Audi Pakistan posted on its social media profile:

Addressing reports of legal troubles, Premier Systems said it is currently involved in one dispute with a single customer, which is pending before the courts. The company emphasized that there are no disputes or legal proceedings between Premier Systems and Audi AG, calling such suggestions unfounded.

Premier Systems added that its legal representatives are pursuing action under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA), and other applicable laws in response to online allegations.

Background Context

In our September 19 report, we detailed how a single-customer dispute involving Premier Systems (Pvt.) Ltd., Audi’s partner in Pakistan, had escalated into civil litigation, defamation notices, and criminal proceedings, with the Lahore court naming Audi AG a “necessary party.” The same piece also relayed industry chatter that Customs had suspended Premier’s ITP pricing authority pending proceedings.

On September 22, our follow-up clarified earlier chatter that Customs had not suspended Premier Systems’ right to issue Import Trade Prices (ITPs). We confirmed Premier still holds ITP authorization, and ITPs continue to be issued by the dealership.

Today, Premier issued a legal notice to the media, rejecting the allegations and clarifying its position as outlined above
