The petrol prices in Pakistan are hitting the sky as currently, they are the highest in the country’s history. After the last hike, the new cost of petrol is Rs. 159.86 per liter compared to the previous Rs. 147.83 per liter, meaning it saw a jump of Rs. 12.03. Meanwhile, the current prices of Hi-Octane by PSO, Shell, and Total Parco are almost the same.

It is pertinent to mention that every petroleum company decides the rate of Hi-Octane individually. The government doesn’t have any say in it; hence, there is a slight difference in every company’s price.

The current rates of Hi-Octane of these companies are as follows:

  • PSO – Rs. 168
  • Shell Pakistan – Rs. 165
  • Total Parco – Rs. 167-170 (as our research showed that different petrol pumps in Lahore are selling at different prices)

So, on average, the per liter price difference between regular petrol and Hi-Octane is around Rs. 6-7, which is not a huge gap. And we are saying it because it has higher quality.

Benefits of Hi-Octane

Some of the benefits of the Hi-Octane include its 98 RON rating compared to 92-93 RON of regular petrol. Furthermore, this fuel increases the health of your car’s engine as it tackles the rust, hence, prolonged life. And it also increases the fuel average of your vehicle. Last but not least, the emission of Hi-Octane is very low compared to regular petrol.

In short, it is not only good for your car’s health but also excellent for your pocket and above all for the environment. So, all in all, a better choice against regular petrol in all aspects.

Important Note

Hi-Octane performs well, but we will advise you to use it in bikes with above 250cc engine and cars above 1200cc. Because in small engines, you will need a lot of adjustments, which can cause serious problems for you.

So, we will suggest Hi-Octane for your car because the price is not that different from regular petrol.
