Punjab Government Rolls Out T-Cash MasterCard Debit Card
LAHORE: Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the Punjab government has introduced a unified digital payment system for public transportation, known as the “T-Cash Card”, to replace traditional tokens and cash payments.
Citizens can conveniently apply for the T-Cash MasterCard Debit Card through the e-Transit portal and, after the required processing time, collect their card from any Metro station across Lahore.
What Is the T-Cash Card?
The T-Cash Card is a digital fare payment system that allows commuters to travel without cash or tokens on Punjab’s Metro Bus, Orange Line Train, Electro bus, and other mass transit services.
The card also functions as a regular debit card because it uses the MasterCard network, so citizens can make everyday purchases in addition to travel payments.

Passengers who do not have a T-Cash Card can still pay fares using :
- Debit or credit cards
- Mobile wallet applications
- NFC tap systems on smartphones
The government has also introduced a Student T-Cash Card, offering travel discounts to students across Punjab.
