“This Audi RS7 Is Way Better Than Converted AMGs” – Owner Review

Today we’re back with the owner’s review of a 2017 Audi RS7. In this review, the owner shares his experience of driving this rare performance sedan in Pakistan and briefs us about its specs and features. This is the first generation RS7, a performance sedan based on the Audi A7. It has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing around 560 hp and close to 700 nm of torque. This engine is configured with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering power to all four wheels through the Quattro.

Drive

As per the owner, he has driven many performance sedans like the E63, E55, and the BMW M5, but he enjoys the RS7’s driveway more than them, mainly because of its traction. The Quattro 4-wheel drive system in the Audi is exemplary, and the launch in this car is brutal. When accelerated, the car lifts up from the front, and the drive is unmatchable.

Salient Features

Along with top-notch performance, the RS7 is equipped with several luxurious features. These include electric seats with memory function, adaptive cruise control, heads-up display, blind spot monitor, parking sensors, and several driver assistance features. It also gets a sunroof, plush leather seats, several driving modes, etc.

Fuel Average

Although fuel consumption is somewhat irrelevant in a performance sedan like this, the average is not bad, according to the owner. He gets around 6 to 7 km/l within the city easily if driven normally, “the average drops significantly if I decide to enjoy its power,” he added. The owner also travels on the highway regularly, and the RS7 gives 11 to 12 km/l, which is very impressive.

Missing Features

The owner misses a few features he thinks he would have enjoyed. These include a launch control system which later models of the RS7 had. He still manually launches it with brake boost, but a proper system would have been good. He also misses a panoramic roof in this car instead of its standard sunroof.

Maintenance And Spare Parts

The owner maintains the car from his local mechanic, and he does not trust anyone else with this car. As for the spare parts, availability is a big problem as once his car got hit from the front, sourcing the bumper and grille took him two months. The prices of these parts are obviously high hence maintaining this car is currently a challenge.
