So, finally much-awaited MG 5 has been spotted in Pakistan. In a video, circulating on social media, one can see the car on a trailer, most probably going from the Karachi port to a dealership. This yellow colored car is surely an exciting prospect for the MG lovers. However, we are not expecting any immediate launch of the car as this is a test unit, meaning MG Pakistan will test this car on local roads to test whether it is suitable or not.

MG 5 Anticipation
The anticipation for MG5 started in February 2021, when MG Pakistan representative Javed Afridi shared the photos of this car on his Twitter handle. “MG 5 sedan, What price do you think for Pakistani market,” asked Afridi. He also shared the specs and features of this vehicle.

International Specs & Features
MG 5 is a D-segment family sedan with a stylish design and cutting-edge technology. The car has recently made its international debut in September 2020 and got a lot of attention and praise for its handsome look and powerpack features.
Internationally, the latest version of this sedan comes in two engine options. Both are 1.5-liter SAIC 4-cylinder 16-valve. One is naturally aspirated capable of producing 119 hp with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The other one is turbo-charged capable of producing 173 hp with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The car has a sporty exterior with tail lights, LED daytime running lamps, projector headlamps, and an electric sunroof. The interior is spacious and comfortable.
If launched in Pakistan, the MG 5 sedan will give tough competition to Pakistanis’ favourite sedan, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Yaris, and Honda City.
MG Pakistan and Javed Afridi have teased a number of MG cars in Pakistan, i.e., MG RX8, MG3 and MG Gloster. However, the company is currently only offering MG HS, MG ZS and MG ZS EV. We hope that MG Pakistan will soon launch these cars in Pakistan which surely will increase the competition in the market.

Brother chineses can do good cars, they had improve over the years, for me the best are Geely maybe because they own brands like Volvo and partner with Proton, also because one geely sedan was spotted testing in Europe, who know maybe they will come in Europe ? But it dosn’t mean all the chineses brand are goods. It dosn’t mean they are equal to all other brands, if Geely made partner and own international brand is to gain technologies and knowledge also to enhance brand name.
For Android and IOS i’am aware of the data stolens, but it is a little more complicate you know, for example someone who is going to a lot of social media like tiktok, facebook the risk will increase to being spyed (pegasus affair), also i’am not using google as my web resercher a big data thief and selling back to third parties.
IOS is a little more private they won’t sold your data to third party (it is true i don’t know), but they are the first who could acces to your data. To finish you won’t like it but all Lahori citizen where spyed by Huawei, you can check the info.
