Pridor is Atlas Honda’s least-selling bike in Pakistan. It was supposed to be a good-performing vehicle; its ride quality was good in the class, engine performance was good, it could do offroad, and the suspension was smooth, but somehow, it didn’t go as planned and didn’t gain popularity like CD and CG in Pakistan.
Why is that?
Here, we will declassify some solid facts and reasons why Atlas Honda’s Pridor project was unsuccessful in Pakistan.
Did you know that in India, Hero Splendor, the country’s most popular bike, uses the same engineering and engine as the Honda Pridor?
Pricing is Confusing
Just look at the pricing chart:

CD70 is PKR 51,000 cheaper than Pridor, but CG125 is just PKR 26,000 more expensive.
You might get an idea.
If someone buys a bike for fuel economy, they might save money and prefer CD70. It’s better in fuel economy and cheaper than Pridor. However, if someone prefers power, they just have to pay Rs.26,000 additional and can get CG125.
Although Pridor’s ride is good, its suspensions are smooth, acceleration is better than CD, and fuel average is higher than 125, the majority of consumers still prefer CD and CG.
Lower Resale Value
Compared to CD and CG, Pridor doesn’t have a very good resale value in the budget utility bike segment. If you visit any used market, you’ll notice that 70% of bikes there are CDs and CGs.
If you notice, the resale factor is basically a vicious cycle. People don’t buy Pridor, and because of that, its resale is not good, and due to its resale is not good, people don’t buy Pridor.
However, consumers still buy used Pridors’. You just have to wait for a few days or weeks, and it will sell for a good price. The market for this bike is just not big.
Spare Parts Availability and Pricing
Pridor doesn’t have much third-party support. While you can easily source non-genuine parts of CD and CG, you have to rely on Atlas Honda genuine parts for Pridor’s spares.
Although this bike shares some parts with CG and CD, such as brake pads, indicators, and handlebars, cosmetic items like the seat, mudguard, fuel tank, headlight visor, and speedometer are exclusively available from Atlas Honda genuine parts.
The issue with AHL genuine parts is that they tend to be expensive for the average person.
Pros of Honda Pridor
It doesn’t mean that we’re denigrating Pridor. It is indeed a good bike for a specific market segment. Here are some pros of it:
Budget traveler: If you can’t afford YBR, GD110s, or GS150, then Pridor can be a good budget option. Its seat and suspensions aren’t as comfortable as the ones mentioned earlier, but it’ll still do your job at a low price.
Good offroader: Its rims are bigger than CD, and are spoke rims. The engine’s torque is also good. The suspension is not as bouncy as CG’s or as hard as CD’s, and ground clearance is also acceptable, making it a good low-budget offroader.
These are the two significant advantages of the Honda Pridor, and these are the two most specific types of consumers who buy the Pridor.
Conclusion

Actually Faisal, Honda Road Master is a 90’s bike and a very rare antique collector’s model and CB 150F is a new in-production bike, so technically there’s no comparison of both models. But for the sake of information, we’ll surely make it’s comparison soon!

in my view Prider is lot better than CD or CG. If only its headlight should be lik CD or CG. and also its spare parts also unavaile but lot expensive

In india Honda shine which is better than honda pridor. In Honda shine alloy rim,self start .honda shine look is very beautiful than honda pridor.price is about 70 OOO. In Pakistan honda pridor is low quality but bigger price 208900. These companies are looting Pakistanees. Suzuki 110 price is 352000. 2 years ago its price was round about 1 lakh. Is this company using parts made of Gold and Diamond???.Same Situationis twith Yahmaha bikes.They are selling very expensive bikes to Pakitanis.All responsibility is on our rulers who are not in favour of masses. Indians are buying much better bikes with low price than Pakistanis.

Very expensive spare parts are the cause of not selling for this bike
It used to b 21000 more than cd70 in 2019 it was 96000 then

One reason is plastic body of pridor, and costly spare parts of Honda pridor. Plastic parts can not repair. Iron parts of other bikes can be welding. So this reason pridor is unlike in Pakistan
Pridor got some issue that are unresolved from some time. Kick slippage than some clutch box issues. Earlier cd 100 had oil burning problems. General public knows very well CD 70 and CG 125 are more stable products of Honda
I think buy this bike only for the comfort reason, like its seat. The comfort is providing, 70 and 125 not providing. This is the only reason otherwise some plastic parts specially around fuel tank are very cheap, and with small accident they get broken and you can’t get those again from market but only original from honda which are expensive.
Honda pridor price is too much
I think company wants to reduce the price likely 180000 to 190000 then i think its sale come upside
Pridor has a major manufacturing defect it’s gear and clutch plate system is not working.After 3 to 4 years it’s engine starts blowing and then this problem is permanent u can’t fix it.
I used Honda Pridor 2013 modal for ten years.I travelled on this bike just 141000 kilometers.Honda Pridor is a comfortable & economical bike in all respect.
Honda pridor has poor road grip
I will prefer used Yamaha yb125z DX than HONDA bikes
Fuel consumption is good, Not heavy as CG ant not light as CD. Good for long ride.
Silencer is not satisfactory.
Your insights are pretty much accurate and valuable for molding purchase decision. Although, having a good suspension and comfy ride mostly consumers don’t go for pridor reasons are plastic body, low resale, low parts availability.
Same here pridor bike has not resale and also demand in market…
Pridor is has some manufacturing issues. I bought stock pridor in the blue color which is continued till now. The clutch sound and the gear shifting.
When you hold the clutch for neutral, clutch plates were making a shocking noise/sound.
Another issue that I faced was the gear shifting from 3rd to 4th. I went to the Claim center. They even did not entertain me at first. After going again and again they tried to fix it but still the issue was not resolved. They told me they changed gears 3rd and 4th but still the issue remains.
When i ride more than 20KMs the gear makes issues while shifting from 3rd to 4th.
Claiming warranty from honda centers is a war. This needs improvement.
Honda Atlas must strictly tell their claim center owners to entertain the claimers with respect and on time.
Using pridor for the last six months, it is far better in comfort and power. Slightly expensive to drive in comparison of cd 70. Marvelous bike.
The bike is not bad as we think. Better than CD and CG fuel average is good when you buy new one but suddenly you do work on head cylinder it becomes worst ones the head cylinder needs to fix the bike loses its power the clutch plates are also weak these two problems of this bike. According to my knowledge Honda will never fix them because it will destroy the market of CG and CD

Though prider is a beautiful long bike but its fuel consumption is high and clutch is not satisfactory it is also a kick start which require more power like kick of 125 requires. I am not happy with this bike
Prider very nice
Pridor is excellent, I bought it when it’s price was just 89000 and untill now it has never created any problem. Infact when these inexperience mechanic boys change parts the problem starts. But I am really satisfied because I bought it after a lot of research and discussion and never faced a serious problem.
After GTO 125 , Honda Pridor is one of the best bike in Pakistan Market for those who love comfortable ride and journey and wanna avoid machanic.
I purchased Honda prider 100 in 2016 and my maintaince cost of bike is almost Zero, during the last Eight year of use I have just changed one previous tyres and a Chain fork set set only.
Almost very good engineering and a strong body components and parts,
I have been using this bike for 2014 and till today never faced a single problem. Never went to a mechanic shop except for tuning and oil change. Overall very economical and comfortable bike especially for a person like me who is 6 feet tall and doesnt comfortably fit in CD 70.
I think these three are major problems in prider sale
1.use of cheap plastic parts
2.Abnormal sounds from gear box
3.more costly spare parts than CG
I am using Pridor since 2020, asI bought it first owner and fist time in my life, the experience is out standing. Up till now my ride has touched to 43500 km and no part has been changed except chain set and that’s also only one time through out the period. If talk about road grip, it’s outstanding as compare to CD/CG. Fuel average is almost 60 km and it could be increased on long route. Comfort level is also higher than CD/CG. Furthermore, I am sharing my personal bike experience as I have no issue faced during the 4 year, hope no issue will occur in near future insha’Allah.
