Today we’re back with the owner’s review of a 2013 Nissan Patrol. Nissan launched the Y62 Nissan Patrol in 2010, where its luxury variant was sold as the Infiniti QX56, later named QX80 in 2013. This particular car is a 2013 Patrol but has been facelifted by the owner into a 2022 Nismo model. The engine comes with a 5.6 liter V8, producing 400 hp and 560 nm of torque. This engine is mated with a 7-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. So let’s hear from the owner about his experience with this full-size SUV.
Purchase Decision
The owner added the Patrol to his SUV fleet mainly because of its engine. In his opinion, its 5.6 liter V8 engine is very responsive and superior to his LX’s 5.7 liter V8. Although less in displacement, this engine has more horsepower and is very fun to drive. According to him, he was really impressed by its comfort and driving pleasure hence he decided to buy it.
Salient Features
Despite being almost a decade old, the Patrol is equipped with many features. These include electric leather seats, multi-zone climate control, a blind spot monitor, a parking assist, a 360-degree camera, a sunroof, a cool box, a Bose sound system, driving modes, cruise control, etc. However, it needs to include height control which the Land Cruiser has.
Fuel Average
As per the owner, the fuel average is very similar to a Land Cruiser. Within the city, it varies from around 4.5 to 5 km/l. If driven normally and on the highway, the maximum he gets is 7 km/l. According to him, this average depletes if you want to enjoy its power.
Conversion Kit
The owner imported this conversion kit from Dubai, and it was hassle-free. Parts arrived within 10 to 15 days, and sourcing was not an issue. He additionally imported some Nismo emblems and trims, which were not part of the kit.
Maintenance And Parts
As per the owner, maintenance is fine as parts are available in Karachi, and if not, they can easily be sourced from Dubai. Periodic maintenance is similar to a Land Cruiser in terms of cost, and parts like air filters and oil filters are also available despite the Patrol being very few in numbers locally.
