Recommending this car, the owner shared that the Yaris hatchback’s price is comparable to that of the Suzuki Swift.
Purchase Decision
Previously owning a Toyota Vitz, the owner wished to upgrade to a better hatchback. Considering his budget, the owner also had Suzuki Swift and Toyota Yaris sedan options, Changan Alsvin, and Honda City base variant. After careful consideration, the owner decided to opt for the Yaris hatchback owing to its impressive build quality.
Parts Availability and Maintenance
Though parts can be sourced locally, slight difficulties arise due to the imported car. However, if you look correctly, parts can be sourced easily. Though the vehicle has not been taken to maintenance until now, the owner estimates it would cost him around Rs 10,000 after every 5,000 km.
Fuel Average
Within the city, the Yaris hatchback delivers a fuel average of around 15.5km/l, as shared by the owner. On the other hand, although the car has yet to be driven on long routes, the owner is confident that the average would rise to around 19km/l.
Ground Clearance
“This car’s ground clearance is quite similar to that of Toyota Vitz, which is 140mm,” revealed the owner. Furthermore, he commented that, like his Vitz, the Yaris also poses issues on local roads due to its low-ground suspension. To counter this problem, he has heightened his car slightly.
Features
Comfort-wise, the Yaris hatchback has numerous impressive features. For instance, blind-spot monitoring, climate control, eco mode, traction control, lane-keeping assist, push start, six airbags, comfortable seats, and adequate AC ventilation. The owner wishes to have more legroom for the rear passengers, though. Moreover, the cabin noise is canceled, creating a comfortable ride experience. Also, this car has sufficient storage space as the rear seats fold to allow more space. Furthermore, the G package comprises LED lights as well.
Missing Features
Firstly, this model does not include an armrest, which the owner strongly desires. Secondly, alloy rims are also not offered, though they should be expected to in this budget.
