Before we begin, let me tell you that I am not a big fan of over customising the vehicle. However, few minor details which enhance the look and add some luxurious touches to it, I’m in. Given below are some of the customisation I found which are minimal yet attractive enough to enhance the overall look of your vehicle. Please note that all of these are easily available in Pakistan.

Interior Optic LED Lights

One of my favourites and eye-catching upgrade are these LED lightings used in the interior. Unfortunately, this piece of cosmetic is ignored by many owners. It gives a subtle definition to your car’s interior and looks pleasant to eyes, especially in the night. The point is, it shouldn’t be installed all over the interior. Just have a single piece going over your dashboard, or maybe add another line to your door panels. Go too much, and you will end up looking like a ricer or taxi driver.

Dashboard Skins

Most high end or limited edition car’s in Pakistan comes with accented dashboard and panels such as wooden, faux, etc. They look gorgeous but sorry Pakistanis, they are for riches only. Except if you are reading this. Many aftermarket panels are available in the market, but they are just limited wooden and what if you have an Alto, charade or even Mehran? You won’t find such panels for these car’s (Mehran doesn’t have any panels though). Fear not, you may call them skins, wraps or whatever, they are available and can be applied to any part of your vehicle plus they are available in tones’ of textures and designs. I recently had this on my friends Alto, and it changed the overall look of the interior. I highly recommend you to try one of these.

Welcome Lights

Only available on luxury brands such BMW or Mercedes Benz, they have made their way into our local market and can be installed on any vehicle. It illuminates the floor with the brand logo, design or any custom text you select. It really distinguishes between your vehicle and others. Grab it ASAP as they are still very rare in Pakistan before your friend gets his hands on them. A piece of advice, don’t go for any rounded logos such as that of Toyota’s, instead opt for a linear text. They look much better and are long enough to cover a large portion.

Spoilers

Remember I said I don’t like too much of customisation on any vehicle. Spoilers can really foil the look of your otherwise minimal looking vehicle. The ones I’m talking about are very thin, yet they add a lot of details to your car’s exterior. Here is the point, for a sedan it should be optional, but in case you have a hatchback, it is a must! Without it, your hatch looks incomplete. Many imported hatchbacks have it reinstalled but not so in the local ones. Feel safe to go with them.

Daytime Running Lights (DRLs)

The latest and most attractive piece of the visual upgrades is the DRLs. All the latest models are equipped with these so why don’t your old car. In Pakistan, even newer models are not equipped with this aesthetic. Thanks to our diverse parts market, you can get one for your Mehran as well. Things that need to be taken care of is that you should be with the quality one, the one which is fine and sharp. Unfortunately, even the latest Honda Civic comes with the DRLs which are very low in quality and fails to add the details it intends for. Moreover, please ensure that you have an adequate battery and a skilled technician.
