On Friday, March 29, 2019, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) recommended the Federal Government to increase the rates of petroleum products by up to PKR 12 per liter.
As per the details, the authority has asserted that the government should increase the price of petrol by PKR 11.92 per liter and that of diesel by PKR 11.17 per liter. Moreover, it is also recommended by OGRA to increase the price of kerosene oil and light-speed diesel by PKR 6.65 and PKR 6.50 per liter.
The Government will take the final decision on oil prices on 31st March 2019 and the new prices will be implemented from 1st April 2019.
The current prices are as follows:
Petrol: Rs.92.89 per liter
High-speed diesel: Rs. 111.43 per liter
Kerosene oil: Rs.86.31 per liter
Light-speed diesel: Rs.77.54 per liter
