Today we are here with a very special bike which is the United Special 70cc bike. The bike owner Romail Raza is a differently-abled individual and owns this bike specially designed for the differently-abled.

Introduction

Access issues for the differently-abled people have always been prevalent in our country, and such issues make it harder for such people to leave their houses. Especially when it comes to driving cars or riding bikes, the manufacturers hardly pay any attention to the differently-abled consumers.

But, United Motorcycle Pakistan has come forth with a solution! Its Special 70 Bike is a great ride for people who rely on their hands for most of the riding experience.

Comfort

The owner told us about how most of such bikes are modified by users themselves for their convenience but this one is a company-built model. He showed the long handles for brakes and gear on either side of the bike, which he can easily operate with his hands. The bike does not have a self-start feature and uses a kick-start lever which can also be operated by hand by the rider.

The bike has 3 wheels, with the rear 2 wheels supporting a seating structure. The additional two wheels provide more stability, and the seats provide extra seating and storage capacity.

Features

The bike comes with a center chain system which is great for the riders as it brings more stability compared to the side-chain system. The side-chain system swerves the bike in the left direction at high speeds, but the center chain system excludes that problem.

The bike brakes are also very efficient and allow a smooth and safe riding experience.

Maintenance

The bike is easy to maintain and does not require any special maintenance. According to the owner, it simply requires common maintenance procedures like changing of air filter and oil.

Price

The owner bought the bike back in 2018, costing him Rs. 120,000 in total. An ordinary 70cc bike by United Motorcycle costs around Rs. 50,000 at that time. This makes the special version twice as expensive.

The Owner’s Verdict

The owner is very satisfied with his bike and encourages companies to bring innovation in automobiles for the differently-abled people. He pointed out the bike’s lack of a self-start system but was delighted with his ride. He also recommends using this bike to join ride-hailing services as a side hustle.

The owner, Romail Raza, is also an innovator himself and has designed a portable hand control system for the differently-abled. This system can be used in any car to make it more accessible to differently-abled drivers.
