Asif Fazal Chaudhary Wins Thal Desert Rally 2024
The 9th Thal Desert Rally was held this weekend, and the top drivers in different categories, including Prepared, Stock, Women, Bike, and Veteran, took part in it. Heavy fog disrupted the event, and the organizers had to shorten the track. Still, it was a huge success. Here are the final results of all categories of Thal Desert Rally 2024.
A-Prepared
Asif Fazal Chaudhary, with his co-driver Saeed Tiwana, emerged as the winner of the Prepared-A category after he completed the race in 18 minutes and 3.36 seconds. Meanwhile, Faisal Shadikhel clinched the second spot by crossing the line in 18 minutes and 12.08 seconds. Shahibzada Sultan was third on the podium with a finishing time of 18 minutes and 16.44 seconds.
B-Prepared
Asad Shadikhel was the winner of this category with a final time of 18 minutes and 20.39 seconds. Arbaz Khan grabbed the second position as he finished the race in 19 minutes and 25.54 seconds, and Nauman Sarnajam Khan was third as he crossed the finish line in 19 minutes and 58.23 seconds.
C-Prepared
After completing the track in 21 minutes and 16.66 seconds, Bevragh Mazari was declared the winner of this category, followed by Asif Ali, who reached the endpoint in 21 minutes and 18.59 seconds. Dr. Haris Khan was third as he crossed the line in 23 minutes and 50.36 seconds.
D-Prepared
Main Shakeel Burchandi was the winner of the D-Prepared category after completing the race in 21 minutes and 8.59 seconds. At second, it was Umer Iqbal Kanju, who had a completion time of 21 minutes and 19.91 seconds. Taj Khan Mahar was third as he reached the finishing line in 21 minutes and 35.14 seconds.
A-Stock
Hassan Ali Magsi won the A-Stock category with a final time of 1 hour, 16 minutes, and 31.60 seconds. Zohaib Hassan followed, completing the race in 1 hour, 18 minutes, and 22.88 seconds. Syed Asif Imam was the last person on the podium with a final time of 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 3.05 seconds.
B-Stock
Bismillah Magsi was the winner of this category with a final time of 1 hour, 18 minutes, and 7.83 seconds. Sultan M Bahadur Aziz grabbed the second position as he completed the track in 1 hour, 18 minutes, and 48.55 seconds. M. Umar Younas got the third position clocking at 1 hour, 24 minutes and 31.78 seconds.
C-Stock
Then comes the C-Stock category, which Mir Berbrack Rind won with a final time of 1 hour, 24 minutes, and 58.32 seconds. Rao Hammad Ur Rehman was second, finishing the race in 1 hour, 25 minutes, and 59.96 seconds. Rashid Abdullah was the third driver on the podium, with 1 hour, 27 minutes, and 28.23 seconds on the clock.
D-Stock
Usama Hiraj (Usama Ameer Hayat) won this category with 1 hour, 21 minutes and 18 seconds. Meanwhile, the Falak Sher Baloch won the second position, with the final time being 1 hour, 23 minutes, and 57.82 seconds. Jameel Baqir was third after he finished the race in 1 hour, 24 minutes and 21.87 seconds.
Veteran Category
M. Anish Khakwani won the veteran category with a final time of 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 49.72 seconds. Afzal Haq held the second position who completed the race in 1 hour, 39 minutes, 30.79 seconds. M. Amir Jhandir got the third position as he reached the finishing line in 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 59.21 seconds.
Category Women
Laleen Akhunzada won this category with a final time of 1 hour, 43 minutes, and 10.06 seconds. Ambreen Faraz was in second place, completing the race in 2 hours and 47.60 seconds.
