BAIC Increases BJ40 Plus Price by Rs. 7 Lacs
New year, new price! January hasn’t even passed yet, and car companies are already rolling out new hiked prices. First, Toyota came out with a huge price increase, and now BAIC is following suit by introducing the BJ40 Plus price increase.
BJ40 Plus Price Hike
The company just announced that BAIC BJ40 Plus 2.0T will now cost Rs. 9,995,000 instead of its previous price of Rs. 9,295,000. That is an increase of 7 lac rupees in total.
In its circular, BAIC also mentioned that only those customers would be able to avail of the old price who will book the car and pay its full price by January 31, 2023. Hence, this new price will be effective from February 1st, 2023. Note that all of the above prices are ex-factory.
Toyota Price Hike
Last week, Toyota had also increased all of its car prices, with the highest margin being of Rs. 12 lacs. While Toyota increased the prices of all of its models and variants, BAIC has only changed the price of one car. This price hike was very much predictable, given the condition of the auto industry. And it won’t be the last, either. Watch out for more price hikes by other manufacturers as well.
