So, the booking for Audi E-Tron GT has started in Pakistan. However, the price is slightly high as it will cost you in double digit millions . The car was launched in international a few days ago, and now Audi Pakistan has opened its booking. Internationally the model is available in two variants and Audi Pakistan will import both versions as CBU. Audi e-tron GT quattro is available for PKR 23,750,000 , while the performance variant Audi RS e-tron GT can be yours for PKR 33,250,000. The pricing is (ex showroom).
The car is Audi’s reply to the Tesla Model S. The 4 door Audi Gran-Turismo Coupe is based on Porsche’s J1 performance platform, and this should give you some hints. Audi GT is a non-identical sibling of Porsche Taycan. Comparing the side profile of E-Tron GT and Taycan might really confuse you as these are very similar.
Although Taycan & E-Tron GT are same under the skin, GT is slightly laid back as far as performance is concerned. Obviously, the VW group wants to keep the Taycan a premium performance model and on top of the range. Besides performance, E-Tron and Taycan have their own exclusive identity inside and out.
Variants of Audi E-Tron GT:
There are two variants of the car. A regular GT and RS. Both models are offered with dual motors and two-speed transmission. The model comes with 800V charging capabilities for fast charging. The battery pack is 93kWh but with useable energy of 86KWh. This enables a driving range of 488 Kilometers for the GT Quattro, while RS has a reported range of 472 Kilometers.
Obviously, the range is under controlled test / under certain conditions and parameters, and the real on-road range will be different depending upon the ambient temperatures, driving style, use of certain car features like the intensity of climate control and any other electrical systems. In other words, the reported range might not be achievable, which is typical for any EV.
Charging Time:
The battery can be fully charged in 22 minutes via super-fast 270kW DC charging. It can help 100 kilometers of range in just 5 minutes. There are two charging ports, one on each side. One is for AC regular chargers, while the other helps with the DC charging.
Power Output of Audi E-Tron GT:
The basic entry-level Audi E-Tron GT Quattro has a power output of 476hp and 640Nm of torque for Europe. RS E-Tron GT has a power of 589hp and 830Nm of torque in Europe. In the US, the base GT has 469hp and 630Nm of torque.
There is an over-boost function of 2.5 seconds which pumps up the power for little time to 522hp and 640NM of torque. As of RS, the power comes as 590hp and 830Nm of torque, and it also comes with an over-boost function, which pushes the power to 637hp but keeps the same level of torque at 830Nm.
The Front motor on both models is the same as 175kWh [235hp], while the rear motor on GT is 320kW [420hp] while that on RS, it is 335kW [450hp].
0-60:
RS can reach 60 in 3.1 seconds, while the GT does that in 3.9 seconds. Top speed is limited to 255kmph for RS while 245 for the GT. Audi mentions that this GT E-Tron has the lowest drag co-efficient with 0.24, making it very slippery as far as aerodynamics.
Drive Modes:
There rear motor on each model deploys a 2-speed transmission for Efficiency and Performance. In Efficiency mode, the car remains in second gear as much as possible for greater range. The Sports mode is for performance and launch purposes. In this model, the vehicle remains in first gear till 100km/h speed is achieved.
All-wheel steering is available as an option on both versions. It also comes with a locking rear differential for improved traction. In has an all-electric AWD system, and torque can shift between front and rear as needed.
Interior:
As for the interior, it is a typical high-end Audi with the current design language. The leather-free interior as standard, and instead, recycled materials are used. However, leather is available as an option. There is a 12.3-inch virtual digital HD instrument display while 10.3 touch screen infotainment system.
