According to the Engineering Development Board (EDB), the main culprit is the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee by 31%, coupled with the government’s decision to raise duties and taxes on the automobile sector. As a result, car prices in Pakistan have reached new heights.
Changan Prices in 2022
You must have come across Changan, a Chinese automaker that entered the Pakistani market in 2020. The company has already made a splash with its affordable and reliable vehicles, which include the Changan Alsvin, Changan Karvaan, and Changan Oshan. Changan vehicles have become a sought-after option in Pakistan. After the success of Alsvin and the successful launch of Oshan X7, the company has become a well-known name in the country. Changan also introduced an installment plan for consumers to help boost its sales and make car purchases easier for customers. Changan is also working on a mini electric vehicle (EV) ‘Lumin Corn,’ to be launched soon in Pakistan.
