Changan Car Prices: Jan 2022 vs. Dec 2022

0 1,850

Are you a car buyer in Pakistan? If so, you may have noticed that prices have been rising lately. It’s not surprising, as inflation and the Pakistani rupee’s weaker value against the US dollar have prompted automakers to increase their prices this year. In fact, reports show that car prices have seen a significant 47% hike since the start of the year.

But what’s behind these price increases? According to the Engineering Development Board (EDB), the main culprit is the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee by 31%, coupled with the government’s decision to raise duties and taxes on the automobile sector. As a result, car prices in Pakistan have reached new heights.
