The Chinese automotive market has been rapidly expanding over the past few years, with both domestic and international automakers vying for a piece of the pie. One of the latest offerings from the Chinese automaker Chery is the Arrizo 5 GT, which is aimed squarely at the Honda Civic, one of the most popular sedans in the world. Here, we’ll take a closer look at the Arrizo 5 GT and how it stacks up against the Honda Civic.
Design and Styling
The Chery Arrizo 5 GT has a bold, aggressive design with sharp creases – competes with likes of Lexus IS. The Front fascia comes with a huge ‘Spindle Grill’, short and smooth nose with a mesh pattern and a sleek set of LED headlights. The front look is reminiscent of the Lexus IS, with its muscular fenders and aggressive styling cues.
Interior of the car stand toe to toe with any high-end modern car – large screen for infotainment system and driver’s display.
Performance and Engine
Under the hood, the Chery Arrizo 5 GT is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 197 horsepower and 290 Newton-meters of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox enabling the vehicle to reach 0-100 km just in 6 seconds.
Another variant of Arrizo 5 has turbocharged 1.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 154 horse power and 230 Newton-meters of torque.
Price and Value
The Chery Arrizo 5 GT is priced competitively in the Chinese market, starting at around 3.4 million to 4.2 million. This makes it significantly cheaper than the Honda Civic.
However, it’s worth noting that the Honda Civic has a well-established reputation for quality and reliability, which could make it a more appealing option for many buyers. The Chery Arrizo 5 GT is still a relatively new entrant to the market, and its long-term reliability and durability are still unknown.
Overall, the Chery Arrizo 5 GT is a promising new entry in the competitive Chinese automotive market. Its bold design, sporty performance, and attractive pricing make it a good car.
I like cherry but here a reality check
What are the dimensions of this car ? How we know this car is in the same category with the civic ?
The price you are giving is accordingly to chinese’s car market, it dosn’t matter in Pakistan it will be more expensive.
And to have such a Lexus front look, ain’t it is better to have Lexus ?
The back look seem to be inspired from Toyota Vios, ain’t this cars in the same category as Toyita Yaris sedan ?
Thus I don’t like this cherry
