Daihatsu TAFT Review – Hummer Ab Saashay Pack Maen Dastyab
Japanese automakers have always focused on maximizing utility, performance, and fuel economy. Although providing all of that at the best prices was never easy, Suzuki Hustler broke the myth. Later, following the same path, Daihatsu TAFT was introduced. It is quite a rare find in Pakistan, but we always believe in bringing different options for regular commuters. Read below to learn about the features and specifications of the TAFT.
Style Statement
The 2021 Daihatsu TAFT looks inspired by the Suzuki Jimny and Suzuki Hustler, with the same boxy shape and rugged avatar. It carries over an abundance of features from the 1980 and 1970 series of Jimny. If you observe it closely, you will find it similar to the Daihatsu Cast, too. Stepping inside, it resembles a lot the Toyota Vitz and Honda Vezel.
Each TAFT has a signature interior combination of orange and black, with squarish cuts that are incoherent with the outer body. Unlike other Kei cars with hardtops, this hatchback has a decent-sized moonroof.
Engine And Fuel Economy
TAFT features a 660 CC turbo engine, X package that successfully generates 64 horsepower. Coming with a turbo makes its engine an exceptional performer. Along with that, the TAFT features a decent fuel economy, providing 16 to 17 km/l.
ADAS And Other Features
Unlike its counterparts, this vehicle has a host of driver assistance features, including Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise, Auto Braking, Radar, Parking Sensors, and Auto Hold. Six airbags enhance the occupants’ safety. Hard buttons are also given for Traction Ctrl, Idle Off, Parking Sensor, and Auto Collision.
The infotainment system is aftermarket from Strada, a Japanese manufacturer. While it is a small car, it offers an average boot space that can hold one trolley bag and two bag packs.
Pricing and Competitors
Considering plenty of ADAS features, good ground clearance, and rough terrain, the Daihatsu TAFT costs 4.1 million and offers blue, red, white, and other color options.
