The new Zongshen ZS-180-76 (Zongshen Z2) is an upcoming 180cc bike released by the Zongshen Chongqing Group which is one of the five largest motorcycle manufacturers in China. They are presently in partnerships with Harley Davidson and Piaggio. The group is now spreading its presence in the ever-growing motorcycle consumer market of Pakistan.
Many Chinese manufacturers in the recent past have successfully penetrated through the strong Japanese market that has maintained its overwhelming presence in Pakistan for decades. These Chinese companies succeeded in capturing a healthy market share, especially in the budget (70cc) segment. Learning from the experience, the Zongshen group is now making its mark in the premium motorcycle category with the release of the new Zongshen ZS-180-76.
The two-wheel drive follows the ‘naked style’ and is equipped with a 4-stroke Single-cylinder Air Cooled Engine (180 cc). It provides around 14hp Horsepower and a torque of 14.5m. This suspension design uses a single rear (mono) shock absorber. The mono-shock is usually positioned near the center of the bike’s chassis.
The Aonzgshen Z2 provides a top speed of 130-135 km/h and had a compression ratio of 10.3:1. Z2’s front tyre is also fitted with an ABS module.
