Earlier this week, Dongfeng Sokon (DFSK) announced that it will be bringing the first hybrid SUV by Huawei to Pakistan soon. As per reports, the car will arrive here in second quarter of 2022. But it seems this is not the only crossover SUV; DFSK is going to launch in the country. As per company sources, it has two more SUVs in the pipeline.
The reports and sources suggest that one of them will be electric vehicle (EV), while the second will have a petrol engine.
Seres S3 (EV):
This EV crossover SUV will be launched in local market in third quarter (Q3) of this year. As per reports, the car will have a range of 400km. Furthermore, it will be a 5-seater vehicle. And if you are wondering about its price, don’t worry, we have this information too. As per our sources, the cost of this compact SUV will be around Rs5.5million (55-lacs).

DFSK Glory Star Version:
The second compact SUV, company is going to launch is Star Version in Glory. As per company sources, the car will come with a 1.5T Gdi engine with better output. The crossover will reportedly have several safety features, including Lane Assistance, Blind Spot Detection, Front Car Collision Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
If we come to the price, the expected rate of this vehicle will be around Rs5.8 to 6million (58-60lacs).

The competition in the compact crossover SUVs segment is increasing with every passing day. It seems that there is a launch of a new SUV every other day. After KIA Sportage starts dominating the local car market, there are several new entrants. The companies like Hyundai Nishat Motors, MG Pakistan, Proton Pakistan and DFSK have introduced their vehicles for this category. This competition is surely great for the buyers as they now have a vast range of choices.
