Distracted Driving Can Become Your ‘Final Destination’

Speeding is already very dangerous act, and driving carelessly is just icing on the cake. Distracted Driving, using a phone and recording your useless, senseless, illogical and unsafe moments only multiply the danger. I can assure you, most of the time, your recorded moments will be leftover items only as you leave for eternal life. Distracted Driving can result in Final Destination.

Distracted Driving is usually associated with handheld cell phone use, but Distracted Driving is much more than that. Any activity other than Driving that diverts your attention even for a second is Distracted Driving. This includes sleeping, eating, watching videos on the head unit, fiddling with the head unit, looking for something in the glove compartment, central console, and reaching out for something, the list is long.

How Distracted Driving is Destruction?

Every day, we encounter individuals who use their phones to record their car speedometer in the shape of a picture or video. If you are going at 100 kilometers per hour, a single one-second distraction means you covered almost 92 feet in that one second while not focusing your attention on the road. Ninety-two feet roughly means six car lengths. You can imagine what can happen in that one second. Regardless of speed, one must have full attention towards driving even while in urban city driving.

There is a very direct relationship between speed, stopping distance and reaction time. Reaction time is how long it takes you to see both danger and the time it takes your brain to realize the threat and subsequently process a reaction to a threat or any other situation—for example, starting to press the brake pedal or making an adjustment to the steering wheel. The braking distance is the distance that your vehicle covers after brakes are applied.

As your speed increases, so does the distance you travel while your brain is processing information and reacting to it. Increased speed also increases the stopping distance but obviously reduce reaction time by a significant margin. And if you are driving distracted and going at a high rate of speed, the reduced reaction time while increased braking distance will result in serious accidents. There is no substitute for Safe Driving. You can never overrule the laws of Physics; you will only hurt yourself doing so.

Don’t Do it

Why do you want to leave horrible memories of yourself for the one who cares for you and think about you? Social media has made a great impact on our daily life. There are positives and negatives. People do stupid stuff and want to share it on social media to get attention. Please stay away from any such attention-seeking activity which can have serious consequences & which also includes putting your life at risk.

No one wants to see you get hurt or die. We don’t realize the dangers of rash driving and over speeding + distracted Driving even though we being the drivers, completely understand the risks.

Drive Safe, Responsibly & Distraction-Free.
