Last weekend we shared the news about launch of two new electric vehicles (EVs) by MG Pakistan, MG 4 and MG ZS. The announcement rather came as a surprise but a good one amid all the ongoing uncertainty and turmoil in the auto sector. As per details, MG Pakistan has already started the booking of these cars and will start deliveries soon. It is pertinent to mention that there two variants of this car, i.e., MG 4 EV Essence (top variant) and MG 4 EV Excite (base variant) and this one is Excite.
For a recap, here are salient specs and features of MG 4 EV. The MG4 EV is set to revolutionize the way you commute in Pakistan. With its stylish design and eco-friendly credentials, it promises a driving experience like no other.

The MG4 EV offers a choice of six captivating colors, including the brand-new Volcano Orange. Its Active Grille System ensures optimal airflow for extended battery range, and select models feature a two-tone black roof and a Twin Aero Rear Spoiler.

And now we have received exclusive photos of first imported unit of MG 4 EV. In these photos, you can see the car parked at Karachi port, right after being cleared by the customs. The photos show the front, back, charger and key of this electric vehicle.
Price of MG 4 EV
According to reports, this car has reached Lahore and will be displayed at MG showroom. MG Pakistan has announced the price tag of two variants of this new car:
- MG4 EV Excite is priced at PKR 10,999,000 (excluding Freight & withholding tax).
- MG4 EV Essence is available at PKR 12,990,000 (excluding Freight & withholding tax).
A car worth 130 lacs excl Misc expenditures, if anyone thinks that he’s saving money then he’s grossly mistaken. One has already expended an amount Rs 7 Million EXTRA to have this car at the name of fuel economy. So it’s ridiculous to buy this car. Buy Petrol car worth 6 Million of this size and enjoy. Secondly there are none electric charging stations in countryside. What would one do upon driving 400 Miles ? TESlA also same disadvantages across the world. Think Think and then buy ….
Hatchback segment is almost empy in our market, we got only compact hatchback, almost all from suzuki.
This car won’t do a lot of sales. It could be the most affordable electric car, but big weakness of network charging as said by Captain
So MG Pak continues to waste precious dollar reserves! What a shame!
