The launch event of new Suzuki Swift 2022 is underway in Lahore. The company is revealing the car and here are exclusive pictures from the event.
As per expectation, the car is here in three variants i.e., GL (Manual), GL (CVT), and GLX (CVT). Furthermore, it is the latest generation of the car, but it will be discontinued in the near future in the international market.
As we told you in previous blogs, Pak Suzuki ended the car in September 2021. Then the company announced the launch of the new Swift in 2022, and that time has finally arrived.
Competitors of Suzuki Swift 2022
If we talk about the hatchback segment, there are no direct, locally assembled competitors. However, concerning price, it will compete with Honda City, Toyota Yaris, and Changan Alsvin. And if we compare it with imported cars, Toyota Vitz and Toyota Passo are its direct competitors. Now, it depends on you whether you like a hatchback or a sedan. Suzuki has to play very smartly to compete with these cars, mainly because all locally assembled have a solid presence on roads.
And it becomes more critical because Swift has never been a top seller for the company. Before its discontinuation, the sales number of this car was merely in hundreds per month; even Suzuki Bolan and Ravi recorded higher sales than Swift. So, let us repeat, the company has to work hard to make it a good seller.
Over the years, Pak Suzuki has dominated the hatchback category in Pakistan, and the new Swift will be another addition. We hope it will turn into a favorite car of consumers in Pakistan.
