Today we present you with a walkaround review of Pakistan’s first Ferrari F8 Tributo. The owner has imported this car through the Jumbo international clearing agency in Karachi, and in this review, we will give you an overview of this Italian beauty.

Ferrari launched the F8 Tributo in 2020 after unveiling it at the 89th Geneva International Motor Show in 2019. Ferrari has always produced iconic mid-engine sports cars, the 360 Modena, 458, 488, and the F8 Tributo is the latest product following the 488. It is fitted with the fastest V8 engine Ferrari produces, putting it in the top tier of supercars competing with the Lamborghini Huracan, Mclaren 720s, etc. So let’s learn more about this car and see its quirks and features.

Powertrain

The F8 Tributo comes with the same engine as the 488 Pista; a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 710 hp and 770 nm of torque, which is pretty wild for the standard model. This engine is paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission, and all models are rear-wheel drive.
This engine enables the car to achieve 0 to 100 in a whopping 2.9 seconds while the 0 to 200 time is 7.6 seconds following an impressive 11.3 seconds quarter-mile time.

Exterior

Now coming to the exterior, probably the most important part of a Ferrari, and it does not disappoint at all. The exterior is very modern yet still gives the essence of that traditional Ferrari design. As per Ferrari, this is the most aerodynamic model they have made, and it is prominently displayed by the car’s incredibly chiseled frame and plenty of air ducts for airflow.

Differing from the outgoing 488, the F8 has an “S duct” in the hood, increasing downforce by more than 15 percent. Sides also feature airflow ducts for engine heat along with vents for cooling the enormous carbon ceramic brakes. The front features sleek LED headlights above which air inlets are disguised within the headlights’ shape. It comes with 19-inch wheels at the front and 20s at the rear.

Coming to the rear end, the engine is concealed under a Louvered Lexan engine cover inspired by the legendary F40, which helps you see the beautiful V8 through it. The rear also features quad tail lights along with a dual exhaust which sounds amazing.

Interior

The F8 Tributo’s interior is not drastically changed from the outgoing 458 and 488 but still has some new quirks. This particular car has a cream-colored interior of the many interior color options. The bucket seats are a combination of leather and Alcantara, and the overall quality of materials feels very nice.

The instrument cluster has two screens that display most of the information to the driver, including maps and the reverse camera. The interior is as driver-focused as it gets, it angles towards the driver, and every necessary control is mounted on the steering to avoid driver distraction which includes the start/stop button, indicators, headlight controls, wiper controls, driving modes, suspension modes etc. this particular car is also fitted with the optional passenger display mounted on the dash.

AC vents are angular instead of the round vents in the 488; climate controls are also digitised compared to the 488’s analogue controls.

Salient Features

The F8 Tributo has most of the frills that Ferrari offers, which include dynamic front suspension, which helps you raise the front lip of the car just with a click of a button, several driving modes, paddle shifters, launch control, several stability, and traction controls which help stabilise the car at high speeds, carbon ceramic brakes, four airbags, a side slip control which assists in cornering, a wide-angle reverse camera, suspension stiffness modes, an optional passenger display and much more.

As with high-end companies, many of the features are optional and are not included in the base price, which includes carbon fiber trims which cost around 40,000 dollars, floor mats, and even Ferrari emblems in the interior are a paid option.

Space

Passenger space is obviously not a lot; however, entry and exit are not that bad. Storage spaces are decent for a car like this; a compartment behind the seats comes in pretty handy for storing valuables. In Addition, the compartment inside the hood is pretty deep and can easily store a mid-sized bag.

Price

The Ferrari F8 Tributo starts at around 270,000 dollars in the US and can easily go up to around 350,000 dollars if fully specced out. The price in Pakistan cannot be accurately estimated due to the duty structure, but it will surely be above the 200 million rupee mark.
