Honda Prepares the 2026 CB1000GT: A New Era in Sport Touring
Honda is preparing to launch a new 1,000 cc sport-touring motorcycle, the CB1000GT, expected as a 2026‐model entry. Based on the CB1000 Hornet, the new CB1000GT uses the same 999 cc inline-four engine derived from the Fireblade, pumping out around 147 hp (EU) or 129 hp (US estimate). Despite its added touring gear, it stays fairly light at around 213 kg.
Design-wise, the CB1000GT gets a sleek front fairing, taller windscreen, and relaxed ergonomics for comfort on long rides. Expect tech features like a full-color TFT display, quickshifter, ride modes, and smartphone connectivity.
The bike is expected to officially debut as a 2026 model, possibly at EICMA 2025, positioning Honda squarely against some of the best in the sport-tourer game.
