City Traffic Police Lahore is taking stern actions, including heavy fines against people driving without licenses. In the latest tweet, the police once again urged the citizens to get their driving licenses or face serious repercussions. “If you drive a bike or a car, get your license or will get a fine of Rs. 2,000,” the police tweeted.

Getting Learner Driving Permit Via DLIMS Punjab

In the tweet, police have shared the complete process of getting a learner driving permit from the DLIMS Punjab. As per the tweet, these are the categories, age limit, and price of driving tickets for the different types of permits.

  • 18 years for a motorcycle and the price of ticket is Rs. 60
  • 18 years for a car with ticket price of Rs. 60
  • 21 years for LTV with ticket costing Rs. 60
  • 22 years for HTV, and ticket rate is Rs. 60

Furthermore, for HTV, the candidate’s age should be at least 22 years, or they should have LTV or regular car license for three years. Also, the candidate can apply for PSV if his HTV license is one-year-old.

Important Documents 

The candidate must have the following:

  • Original National CNIC
  • One photocopy of CNIC

Note: Medical certificate is a must for people over 50 years.

Validation of Learner Permit 

  • The learner permit will remain valid for six months, while the candidate can apply for a regular driving license after 42 days.
  • Learner permit can be renewed after its expiration in six months, and can drive the car following these instructions.
  • Paste the word “L” with red tape at the front and rear screens of the car with 4 inches height and 3.5 inches width.
  • A licensed driver should be sitting in the passenger seat to control the situation in case of an emergency and stop the car.
