How to Win?
The incentive is straightforward but structured in two stages. First, if you purchase a brand-new electric motorcycle after December 2024, you become eligible for the program. To register, you’ll need to submit a few details online through the official portal, including:
- Date of purchase
- Bike brand and model
- Registration number and chassis number
- A copy of the registration book
- Clear photos of your bike
Once these details are submitted, a government official will visit you for verification. If everything checks out, you’ll receive an initial payment of Rs. 50,000. That’s half the total incentive, and the rest comes later—but only if you actively use the bike.
Your Kilometers Matter
To unlock the second installment of Rs. 50,000, you’ll need to log 6,000 kilometers of usage within six months of registration. This is tracked through the Green Credit mobile app, which you’ll need to connect to your electric bike. Once the required distance is covered and verified, you’ll receive the remaining amount—bringing your total reward to Rs. 100,000.
This approach not only ensures that bikes aren’t bought just for the cash but also encourages long-term, regular use of electric transport. It’s a practical way to cut down on petrol consumption while rewarding responsible vehicle use.
