Hyundai Tucson Outsold Suzuki’s Latest Car
Granted, production cuts, price hikes, and rising inflation have caused the car industry irreparable damage. But still, we have something surprising to present.
After Hyundai Nishat’s car sales Recorded a severe dip of 89 percent in July, August sales shattered all the records. PAMA (Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association) report has disclosed some impressive figures flaunting the company’s car sales.
As per the report, Hyundai Tucson’s last month sales have outsold Suzuki’s latest car “Swift.” Tucson sales went uphill to 985 units against 532 units of the hatchback. It is relevant to mention that Suzuki’s hatchbacks are among the country’s most famous and best seller cars. And, a new entrant beating a part of the ruling giant creates a sorry sight for it.
Hyundai Sales Saw a Massive Jump of 860%
The episode doesn’t end here; the report further informed that Hyundai sales saw a massive jump of 860% last month – a landmark for the automaker.
Reports have revealed that the company sold 985 units of Tucson last month against 104 units in July. Similarly, after flaunting three-digit figures in sales charts, Sonata and Elantra did their bit to achieve the whooping target. Hyundai has the biggest sales with 581 and 234 units of Elantra and Sonata, respectively.
PAMA Report: Car Sales Marks a New Low
Car sales recorded a downturn in consecutive second months in the face of striking Prices, multiplying inflation, and production cuts. After observing a 58% decline in July, sales are not back on track – dropped 2% last month.
As per PAMA (Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association) report, automakers sold a total of 11,645 units in August against 11,853 units in July (MoM decline: 2%). Concerning year-on-year sales, sales charts exhibit a massive drop of 46%.
