Locally Assembled Haval H6 & Jolion Coming Soon
After rolling out the locally assembled BAIC BJ40 Plus, Sazgar Engineering is now working on the CKD (Completely Knocked-Down) assembly of Haval SUVs. The local assembly of Haval Jolion and Haval H6 will start in the second quarter of 2022. Haval will soon open the bookings for CKD Jolion and Haval units.
New Variants
The CKD lineup of Haval SUVs will have ongoing petrol and new hybrid variants. Sazgar is planning to introduce the hybrid variants of both H6 and Jolion.
We saw the first Haval H6 Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) spotted in Karachi in December 2021. Since then, the company has imported more hybrid units of Haval H6 for display. Any hybrid variant of Haval Jolion has not yet come into sight. But the company has the local assembly of hybrid Jolion on the cards.
More Features
Whenever we hear about the CKD assembly of a CBU car, our first question is, will any features be stripped down in the CKD units? In this case, the answer is no. The company won’t cut back any features in the locally assembled Haval H6 or Haval Jolion. In fact, the CKD H6 will have upgrades and feature add-ons than the imported CBU units.
The locally-assembled CKD Haval H6 will have a 2.0L turbo variant with additional options such as a Head-Up Display (HUD), ambient lighting, automatic parking, auto-reverse, seat ventilation, etc.
For Haval Jolion, we already have the fully-equipped latest generation model. The current Jolion variant will soon be available in CKD units with the same features as the CBUs.
Less Prices
That brings us to our next question about the price of the CKD Haval SUVs. The prices of CBU Haval H6 and Haval Jolion were slightly on the higher side. But with the CKD units, the company will have the benefits of less tariff, which will bring the prices down.
Chinese vehicles have much options as compared to contemporary but have to prove their worth and durability and it requires some time from now on. Another 2/ 3 years are crucial for MG, HAVAL, BAIC, Proton, Changan, DFSK. Korean, Japanese and German have already proved their worth worldwide and known to many but the case is not with Chinese products.
@ Mr. Captain
I fully agree with you brother Japanese and Germans / Americans have carved for themselves a unique place in the automotive world.
