“Oshan X7’s Fuel Average is Better Than My Vitz” – Mubeen
We’re back with the owner’s review of Mubeen’s Oshan X7, a famous Pakistani YouTuber. In this video, he shares his experience with his newly bought car and tells us why he chose the Oshan X7. Changan recently launched the Oshan X7 in 2 variants; this particular car is the 5-seater FutureSense variant with more features than the 7-seater comfort. It comes with a 1.5TGDI engine producing 185hp and 300Nm of torque paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Purchase Decision
The owner was looking for a car in a certain budget and considered many cars like Hyundai Elantra, Tucson, and Stonic but finally bought the Oshan X7 as the other cars had prolonged delivery times and this was newly launched at a very attractive price point, which according to the owner, felt a true value to money. Moreover, its size was also a deciding factor as it had ample space and was close to Toyota Fortuner. The owner booked the car on the first day in March for Rs. 59.50 lacs.
Salient Features
The Oshan X7 comes with a host of features, some of which are class-leading in the crossover market. These include parking sensors, a radar, heated electric seats, an electronic parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring system, voice command, a panoramic roof, and a digital instrument cluster; it also has a 360-degree camera which the owner finds very helpful. Along with that, it also has adaptive cruise control.
Fuel Average
The Oshan X7 comes with a Euro 6 engine which is very efficient in fuel consumption. The owner is very satisfied with the fuel average as it gives 13 to 14km/l within the city. This is similar to what Changan claims, so this car’s fuel average is a plus point.
Comfort
As per the owner, the car is very comfortable, has perforated leather seats, and the Future sense variant is more spacious than the 7-seater as it does not have a third row. Moreover, the suspension is soft and perfect for potholes and rough terrains.
AC Performance
The car comes with dual-zone climate control, and according to the owner, performance is excellent even in hot weather conditions, and he feels a difference compared to his other car.
Spare Parts
The owner has just bought the car, but he feels that the availability of spare parts will not be an issue as Changan is a well-established brand, and the Oshan X7 is a CKD unit and is even being exported. So parts will not be an issue; however, prices are still a question mark.
Driving habits, traffic conditions, condition of the car itself matter very much, therefore, claiming that this Chinese box is better than a car designed to run for higher miles per liter of fuel is a marketing gimmick by a fanboy in favour of personal favourite brand.
