JAC T9 Booking

This means today is the last day for booking, so if you were planning to get one, this is your chance.

The new JAC T9 Hunter is an exciting addition to the segment, ruled by the Toyota Hilux Revo for over a decade, as it will give a new option to the consumers, creating a competitive market. We covered the launch of this vehicle in detail,l and for a recap, here are its specs, features and price for our readers.

Front Look

The front design of this pickup truck features an aggressive stance. A significant reason for this is its large front grille, which features a piano black mesh design with chrome lining. The front also includes a large JAC logo.

The headlights are two-pronged:

  • The upper portion houses the DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).
  • These DRLs are currently only turning on with the parking lights, not on their own.

Below, there are fog lamps and LED headlamps. The bumper has a diffuser-style design with parking sensors integrated into it. The overall front look uses a combination of piano black and matte grey accents, which blend well with the concealed DRLs, giving the hood a bulky appearance.

Engine Performance

The JAC T9 Hunter is powered by a 2000cc diesel turbo engine producing:

  • 168 horsepower.
  • 410 Nm of torque.

The engine delivers a powerful performance, with no underpowered sensations during initial tests. However, detailed testing on highways and off-road terrains is needed to evaluate its long-term capabilities.

Side Profile

The side profile highlights 18-inch alloy wheels, which feature a diamond-cut and piano black finish. Chrome accents are placed above the fenders, but the truck may look better without them. This trend has been observed in vehicles like the Haval H6 and Chery models, where many owners opt to black it out.

The side mirrors also feature chrome accents, but a matte finish would align better with the design.

The JAC T9 Hunter includes:

  • Side claddings (fender flares) that run from the front bumper through the fender and rear bumper.
  • Side steps with the JAC logo.
  • Keyless entry, chrome door handles, and silver roof rails.
  • A sunroof, which is rare for pickup trucks made in Pakistan.
  • An iron roll bar at the rear with hooks for securing luggage.

Rear Design

The rear design showcases beautiful LED tail lamps inspired by American trucks.

  • The rear includes JAC’s T9 logo and Hunter badging.
  • A reverse camera and rear parking sensors are integrated into the plastic rear bumper.

Inside the cargo area:

  • The tailgate lacks shocks but includes a stopper.
  • Hooks are available both inside and outside for securing cargo.

Paint Quality

The overall paint quality of the JAC T9 Hunter is impressive. Compared to other Chinese products in the market, its pearl and paint finish are better.

The interior of the JAC T9 Hunter is both luxurious and functional, setting it apart from rugged traditional pickup trucks.

Key Features Include:

  • Push-start ignition.
  • A 10.4-inch infotainment screen with static features like engine heat, fuel, and parking light indicators.
