After back-to-back increases in petrol price , the incumbent government has announced a decrease – a sigh of relief for inflation-stricken masses.
In his maiden press conference, newly appointed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced a massive slash of Rs. 12.63 in petrol price.

After this reduction, petrol will now cost Rs. 224.80 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel is dropped by Rs. 12.13, after which the new price will be Rs. 235.30. Similarly, light-speed diesel and Kerosene oil prices witnessed a down of Rs. 10.19 and Rs. 10.78, respectively. Kerosene oil will now cost Rs. 191.83, while the new price of light-speed diesel will be Rs. 186.50
