So, monsoon is upon Lahore, and the city has received record-high rainfall for the last couple of days. As per WASA, all the city’s major roads got rain to their maximum ponding capacity, and you can read about all the details here. One of the biggest affected by rain are daily commuters, especially people going to their offices on their bikes and cars. The submerged roads and underpasses become non-commutable as cars, especially bikes, keep switching off due to rainwater.
To resolve this issue-not practically, though-we asked Artificial Intelligence (AI) to suggest some vehicles, including cars, bikes, and rickshaws, to commute on rainwater-submerged Lahore roads. And it doesn’t disappoint us with its suggestions. Although it is a separate discussion whether these vehicles are useable or practical or not, we are sharing the AI suggestions with you.
AI Suggested Vehicles
First, we ask the AI software to suggest us some cars, and here they are:
We know that these are not perfect cars, but we asked AI to generate a “convertible” car in the sense of a car that can also float. But it seems to take it as a proper convertible car with a removed roof. Anyway, the cars are smaller and look like Japanese smart cars or small Chinese electric vehicles. Somehow most of these cars don’t have windscreens, making them unsuitable for rain, but the plus point is they are floating. The plus point is that the location looks exactly like the roads of Lahore these days, full of rainwater.
After these cars, we asked them to suggest another vehicle, and they gave us a rickshaw, which looked like an Indian rickshaw, though, but it looked good. To be fair, it seems like a mixture of a mini car and a rickshaw, and, again, no windows and windscreen.
And we know not everyone can afford a car, so we ask for a bike which would be excellent for traveling on roads and underpasses of Lahore in the rain. This suggestion is quite interesting as it looks like a bike with a body made of a lifeboat that floats on the water. To be true, this is maybe the best design by AI for this article.
And last but not least, a boat. The AI software produced a beautiful image of a man rowing a paddle boat in the waters of Lahore. The image looked quite real, and you could feel it was actually Lahore.
