Ferrari 250 GTO

This 1962 four-wheeler boasts a remarkable racing pedigree as it was part of the famous Scuderia Ferrari team, and it is the only GTO Tipo 1962 raced by the renowned racing group. The car recorded a class win and a memorable second overall finish at the famous 1962 Nürburgring 1,000 kilometers, a feat forever engraved in the memory of motorsport history.

During that 24-hour race, this car was driven by legendary drivers like Mike Parkes and Lorenzo Bandini, who represented the Scuderia Ferrari. The drive by these legends contributed to establishing this car’s legacy.

According to the auction gallery’s note: “As one of the 34 GTO examples built with Tipo 1962 coachwork, and the only car originally equipped with a 4-liter engine, chassis number 3765 has been profiled several times in the Ferrari-focused publications.

Termed as a “once-in-a-generation” opportunity, this masterpiece found a new home after nearly four decades in private ownership.
