Here we bring you another interesting review in which Saheefa Jabbar Khattak shares her experience about her recent purchase of Toyota Hilux Rocco, the black flat-bed truck she bought to satisfy her childhood cravings for deep-rooted American passion.
Purchase Decision
This one was a 2022 Toyota Hilux Rocco with a 2.8-liter Turbo engine. Previously, she has kept cars like Civic, Haval H6 HEV, and Hyundai Tuscon, which are still her love for speedy drive and acute engine performance.
Saheefa’s Take on Hilux
She bought this ‘kaala daala’ for her love of pick-up trucks. Born and raised in Oman, this celebrity never had a chance to experience the rage and power of a truck. Hence, to satisfy that childhood inspiration, she bought the Hilux.
Saheefa shared that transitioning from a quick car like Haval, this Hilux looks slow and fuel inefficient. “Haval used to give 20 to 22km/L mileage while the Hilux gives 9km/L,” she shared with Suneel. Besides, the Hilux has a compromised comfort level with stiff steering and poorly cushioned seats. However, the rear legroom is quite restricted for a person of tall height. Also, the speedometer looks quite old-school, and all the infotainment and safety control features are provided with bush buttons that she doesn’t like. Whereas she enjoys the power and roughness of this truck that allows her to move freely through any kind of road bumps or potholes.
Expected Modifications
In the future, she intends to modify the brake calipers by conducting a paint job in any striking color, wrapping the Hilux in matte black, improving the cushioning of seats, and changing the head unit. However, she greatly missed the sunroof feature in this truck.
Price Tag
Saheefa bought this Hilux Rocco for 14 to 16 million, and despite the missing features, she truly believes that it is the true kind of road and a perfect choice for car expeditions.
