Shahrukh Khan has been the brand ambassador of Hyundai in India for the past 25 years and occasionally shows up at their car launches. This time, Hyundai kicked off the year at the Indian Auto Expo 2023, where Shahrukh Khan unveiled the all new Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV.
This wasn’t the traditional boring car launch with random models and boring speeches. Instead, the car was revealed by Khan in his signature pose with arms wide open as he stood in front of the car. This wasn’t the first time Shahrukh Khan unveiled a Hyundai model. He has been present in several launches in the past. Despite the huge range of models, Khan once said that his favorite is still the Santro!
Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV
The Indian Ioniq 5 EV will come at an introductory price of INR 44.95 lac and will offer a range of up to 631 km on a single charge. Only the first 500 customers will be able to avail of the introductory price offer. After Kona Electric, Ioniq 5 EV will be the second car to provide an all-electric powertrain.
The all-new Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric vehicle will offer a top-of-the-line configuration with a high-capacity 72.6 kWh battery that powers a rear-mounted electric motor with an impressive power output of 216 horsepower and torque of 350 Nm. The vehicle is equipped with advanced Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging function for added convenience. The vehicle boasts 20-inch alloy wheels, a pair of 12.3-inch screens, and six airbags for maximum safety. With this fully loaded variant, the Ioniq 5 promises to be the ultimate choice for discerning EV buyers.
