Should You Book New Honda City Without Seeing It?

So, Honda Atlas has officially launched the pre-booking of new upcoming Honda City. In a post, the company has asked its consumers to visit nearest Honda 3S Dealership for booking and further details.

“Partial booking amount for City standard variants is Rs1 Million and Aspire variants is Rs1.2 Million,” Honda Atlas stated.

Should You Book New Honda City?

As we have earlier urged our readers, not to book the vehicle without seeing it. Honda Atlas did the same before launching of Honda BR-V and Civic-X, collecting money in billions upfront , without revealing details , features and final price. And why booking and “further details ” are not officially and publicly available?

So, once again, please don’t handover your hard earned money in the name of “pre booking ” . In simple words , even if a vehicle is released, don’t book a vehicle until you see it and experience it in person at authorized dealership.
Unfortunately there is no government agency and regulator who can look in to these issues and sadly our people are also part of all this problem.

Dealers Announced Booking Before Honda:

There is another side of this story, the car dealers announced booking before Honda. As per our sources, different dealers started taking pre-bookings before the company announced it. And it doesn’t go in favor of the manufacturer.

Appeal to Honda Atlas:

We appeal Honda Atlas to please reveal all details publicly [price, variants, delivery time, including display of vehicle at dealers + test drive ] before taking any bookings. There must be a clarity and genuine customers should avail an opportunity, first.
In short, the car is not present in the market, but the booking is on. And we think, this trend should not be encouraged because it will lead to malpractice of ‘ON Money’. The company should first launch the car, show it to public, share its specs and features and then start the booking.
