Today we’re back with the owner’s review of Taha’s Suzuki Cultus, which he recently purchased. Taha is a renowned comic Youtuber from Gujranwala, and today we will learn about his car and his short experience of owning it.
It comes with a 4-cylinder EFI engine producing 55hp and 79Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was marketed in many names around the world. This particular car has an EFI engine which was introduced in 2008 with a company-fitted CNG kit.
Purchase Decision
The owner was looking for cars in a specific budget, and he considered hatchbacks like Alto, Cuore, Mehran, and Cultus. He opted for the Cultus as it had a bigger engine, plus it was more spacious than the others due to its bigger size.
Pricing
Due to the long life span of the Cultus, its price range starts from Rs. 5 lacs, and it goes up to Rs. 13 to 14 lacs depending on the model and condition of the car. Taha purchased this 2008 model for Rs. 8.75 lacs in good condition and 130,000 kilometers on the clock.
Fuel Average
The owner has not calculated the fuel average but thinks it will be around 13 to 14 km/l. The EFI engine had an improved fuel average compared to the carburetor cultus, so the fuel average is good.
AC Performance
The owner seems satisfied with the AC performance as it works fine, but it is only effective on the maximum throw in hot weather. However, the engine power deteriorates with the air conditioning turned on.
Interior Space
Space for the passengers is a big plus point for Cultus relative to other hatchbacks. It has ample knee room and headroom for 5 passengers. The owner traveled out of the city with 5 passengers comfortably, which is why he opted for the this car.
Maintenance And Spare Parts
The owner plans to modify his Suzuki Cultus, and parts are readily available in the local market at relatively low prices. Maintenance cost is also nominal, where an average oil change costs Rs. 4 to 5,000 every 5000 kilometers.
