Suzuki Swift Outsells All Its Rivals Last Month
Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has long been facing a downtrend in sales, profit volume, and production compared to other market players. However, last month’s sales charts have brought some rays of optimism for the car maker.
As per the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) report, Pakistan Suzuki Sales observed a massive jump of 46%, thanks to the company’s luxury hatchback Swift sales. Reports revealed that Swift sales increased by whooping 133%. Pak Suzuki sold 328 units last month against 145 units in March 2024. Moreover, the auto maker’s last month’s sales graph reached 6,000 vehicles against 4,101 cars in the previous month.
PSMC (Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company) sold 4,786 units of Alto, 320 units of Suzuki Cultus, 318 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 237 units of Suzuki Bolan, and 11 units of Suzuki Ravi.
Car Sales Last Month
For several months, the automotive industry has been facing a persistent decline in sales. But this time, the beacon of optimism is shining through the clouds of ongoing challenges as the car sales has observed a slight jump last month.
As per the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) report, month-on-month (MoM) car sales increased by 12% last month, selling 10,515 in April 2024 compared to 9,381 vehicles in March 2024.
However, in a year-on-year (YoY) analysis, there’s been a staggering increase of 135%, thanks to the stability of the Pakistani Rupee against the mighty US dollar. Car manufacturers managed to sell 10,515 cars compared to 4,483 vehicles during the same period last year.
Two & Three wheelers
Similarly, motorbike and three-wheeler sales saw an impressive 15% increase last month, reaching 107,590 units compared to 93,606 units in March 2024. Atlas Honda sales surged by 19%, reaching 95,069 units last month, up from 80,139 units in March 2024.
Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki experienced a 5% increase, selling 1,684 units last month compared to 1,610 units in March 2024.
