Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2022 WagonR with cosmetic and power changes. The tallboy hatchback looks more sporty and drives with better fuel efficiency. Here are the new updates in the Indian Maruti Suzuki WagonR 2022.
New Engine Options
The new Indian WagonR now comes with two engine options. A 1.0L K10C engine that produces 67 horsepower and 89 Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki has carried this engine from the new Suzuki Celerio (Cultus).
The other 1.2L K12N engine option has been carried from the new Suzuki Swift and Baleno. This one produces 90 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque.
Both engines are offered with a 5-speed manual and an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) in different variants.
Modern Styling
There are two major changes in the new WagonR exterior: a floating roof and dynamic alloy wheels. The top variant now has two dual-tone colour options, Gallant Red with Black roof and Magma Grey with Black roof. The top variant also comes with 14-inch black alloy wheels.

The new model carries a set of old features such as keyless entry, tilt steering wheel with media control buttons, four speakers, fabric seats, rear wiper, washer and defogger, electrically folding side mirrors, etc.
Better Safety Package
Maruti Suzuki has equipped the new WagonR with a bunch of safety features. Dual airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), front seat belts reminder, high-speed alert system, and rear parking sensors come standard across all variants.
The upper variant has an additional safety feature of Hill-Hold Assist.
Affordable Prices
The new Maruti Suzuki WagonR 2022 starts from 5.39 lac Indian rupees and goes as high as 7 lacs. That’s equivalent to 13 to 17 lac Pakistani rupees.
