Tesla Unveils All-New 2025 Model Y ‘Juniper’ In UK
Tesla has unveiled the refreshed Model Y SUV Launch Edition, a significant update to the UK’s top-selling electric car of 2024. Slated to hit the market in March, this sleek, future-forward vehicle starts at £60,990 (Rs. 21,005,309), with orders already open. It’s packed with enhancements in range, design, and comfort, making it a strong contender in the electric SUV market.
Power & Performance
All-new Model Y carries over the Dual Motor powertrain and battery pack from its predecessor, delivering improved range and efficiency. With a 353-mile range—a boost of 22 miles—drivers will enjoy greater mileage without sacrificing performance. The car accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 125 mph. Charging remains impressively quick, with peak rates at 250kW.
For now, Tesla keeps the exterior color palette simple: silver or black, paired with a choice of 19-inch or 20-inch wheels. However, expect a broader selection of colors and designs in future models.
All-New Model Y Exterior: A Bold New Look
Tesla has taken inspiration from the Cybertruck for the Model Y facelift’s fresh appearance. Up front, a new light bar and secondary lighting units create a cleaner and more modern aesthetic. The indicators are subtly integrated into the edges for a streamlined look.
The rear design also stands out with a hidden full-width light bar. Rather than direct illumination, it uses textured grey trim to reflect light, while the brake lights and indicators are embedded in sleek black accents. The result? A futuristic, minimalist vibe.
Interior: Comfort Meets Functionality
Inside, the Model Y emphasizes comfort and technology. The panoramic glass roof remains standard, now with enhanced solar reflectivity for a cooler cabin. Seats come heated and cooled, adding a luxurious touch for passengers.
Tesla has also introduced a redesigned Centre console with improved usability, new wraparound ambient lighting, and an upgraded steering wheel from the Model 3. While the Model Y brings back a ‘digital’ indicator stalk, Tesla confirms this feature will not extend to the new Model 3 or other models.
The infotainment system still sits in a 15.4-inch touchscreen but features Tesla’s latest software. For rear passengers, an eight-inch screen allows control over climate functions and even gaming, creating an all-around engaging experience.
What’s Next?
While the Launch Edition sets the stage, additional trims will follow later this year. Expect an entry-level Single Motor version and a high-performance option to round out the range.
With cutting-edge upgrades in design, functionality, and sustainability, the 2025 Tesla Model Y is ready to dominate the roads—and the competition. Whether you’re an EV enthusiast or a first-time buyer, this refreshed SUV is worth the hype.
