The Orange Line Metro Train secured two awards this year at the Brands of the Year Awards 2021. The metro system secured accolades for ‘Emerging Brand of the Year’ in the urban rail transit category and ‘CEO of the Year 2021’.
As the Orange Line Metro Train project is the first modern intracity metro rail project in Pakistan, these awards are a great achievement. The awards were received by the CEO of the train system, Li Chen.
At this prestigious honor, the CEO stated:
“It is an absolute honor for us to have received two prestigious awards that represent the commitment and dedication of the entire Orange Line team to serve its local community in the best way possible. I also congratulate our Board of Directors and senior management for their leadership, as well as the entire Orange Line Metro Train Lahore team for their countless efforts and commitment, which have enabled the project to reach this significant milestone and continue to grow.”
The Brands of the Year Awards (BOYA) is an annual national ceremony held by the Brands council where companies compete with each other for having the best product/service in several categories. Thousands of companies participate in this competition every year. Nationwide quantitative consumer surveys, focus group studies, and expert analyses are carried out to find out the best of the best. BOYA then announces the winners based on their annual performance for the past year.
This year’s BOYA had relatively low competition for the urban rail transit category. But, with the expansion of the transit system, the competitions in the coming years will be more fierce.
