Changan Pakistan continues to tease the petrol heads through different hints, photos and now with a new spotting. In newly surfaced videos, two SUVs, reportedly to be launched, have been spotted at a dealership of Changan in Karachi. Those short clips show UNI-T and Oshan X7 being parked at the showroom. And this means that either one of them or both compact SUVs will hit the local roads.
Although there is no report or confirmation about the launch date, however, we are hoping that it would be before June 2021, when the current Automotive Development Policy will expire. Furthermore, Changan has uploaded three posts on its official Facebook page, hinting at a new launch. So, fingers crossed and wait is on.
In one of the videos, you can see the autonomous driving system of UNI-T working. Under this Artificial Intelligence (AI) system, the company has planned to introduce a complete self-driving feature in the future. However, it is highly unlikely that it will be introduced in Pakistan any time soon.
Specs and Features of UNI-T and Oshan X7:

Changan UNI-T:
UNI-T has a 1500cc Turbocharged engine, which produces 180hp and 300Nm torque, mated with 7-Speed DCT Transmission. So, a powerful engine with significant horsepower and torque, which is undoubtedly excellent. It has a very stylish and chic front with a distinctive wide front grille with sharp split-type, very slim front lights. On the side, you will notice a distinct character line; body-coloured door handles with 19-inch Alloy wheels.
Safety wise, the SUV has airbags at Driver/Passenger, Front/Side Rear Side, and Front/Rear Curtains. The other safety features include ABS + EBD, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, Brake Assist, Hill Descent Control, Blind Spot Assist, and Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
Oshan X7:
Oshan X7 also has a 1500cc Turbocharged engine, with a maximum output of 178hp at 5500RPMs along with maximum torque of 265NM at 4500 RPMs. The company offers two gear transmissions, the first one is a 6-Speed Manual, and the second one is, 7-Speed DCT with an FWD drive train.
At the front, you will see a large hexagonal grille arranged with horizontal corrugated strips. These strips are extending downwards from left to right. The headlights of the car are quite sharp and sleek with built-in LED sources. The internal structure of the headlights is quite simple.
The car comes with driver, passenger, front, rear and side airbags. The other safety features include ABS + EBD, brake assist, panoramic camera, traction control, and hill start assist, making the car very safe and secure.
