After Pak Suzuki, Toyota IMC has also increased the rates of its cars by PKR 20,000.

Note here that the company has only increased the rates of its 1.3 Corolla variants. See the price increase below:

There is no exact reason as to why the company has increased the rates of its vehicles. However, the automaker went through a decline of 25.94% in its overall sales of the locally manufactured vehicles during the first 11 months of 2019 as compared to the same period last year. Toyota Corolla is the driving force of the company’s overall sales that also received a setback due to a considerable fall in its sales during this period.

The automaker managed to sell 38,427 units of Corolla during the January-November 2019 period as compared to 49,858 units in its corresponding period last year. It shows a reduction of 22.92% in the sales of Toyota Corolla in the local market.

Aside from Toyota, as mentioned, Pak Suzuki has also increased the rates of its cars by up to 7% from January 2020. The company has increased the price of Alto VRX by PKR 90,000 and that of Alto VXL AGS by PKR 80,000, respectively.

Moreover, Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) is expected to introduce a new variant in its popular 1.8-liter Altis Grande line-up named Altis Grande X, at the beginning of the next year.
