Toyota Yaris Facelift Launched in Thailand

Toyota has unveiled another facelift of Yaris in Thailand with some major design modification. The newly launched facelift is refurnished version of the Yaris launched in Pakistan in 2020. In ASEAN market, Yaris was launched in 2013 and got a major update in 2017.

Coming to the design language of the car, front fascia carries a hammerhead design, Toyota flaunted in its other cars but not in Yaris’ models. Moreover, the front bumper comes with sharp angles, character lines displaying a wide lower apron with functional intake vents. Sharper notched L-shaped headlamps ahead of bonnet are slimmer.

Taillights on the rear profile look same as last generation headlamps but the bumper has been revised to include faux outlets at the corners. Further down, there is diffuser-like element with carbon-like pattern and black trim for the new reflectors.

Highlighting the interior of car, both variants Premium and Premium S carries a larger nine-inch touchscreen head unit. All the variants have an eight-inch screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Whereas new seats, new trim, and USB-C ports come as new changes in the facelift.

Furthermore, 4.2-inch Optitron multi-info display, keyless entry and engine start, four or six speakers, T-Connect telematics, and a panoramic view monitor, fabric or leather seats, 15-inch wheel, four or six speakers, T-Connect telematics and a panoramic view monitor, are the features offered inside the cabin.

Safety features in the Thai-spec Yaris are Pre-Collision System (autonomous emergency braking), Lane Departure Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and a Blind Spot Monitor. Passive systems such as VSC, traction control, hill start assist, ABS, EBD and brake assist.

The car is powered with 3NR-FKE 1.2-liter NA four-cylinder engine carrying the capacity to produce 92 horsepower (hp) and 109 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque mated with CVT-I transmission giving the power to front wheels only. Claimed fuel economy is 23.3km/l.

Color Options are Cement Gray Metallic joins Spicy Scarlet, Platinum White Pearl and Red Mica Metallic to provide customers with four two-tone themes – all with black roofs. Monotone options include Attitude Black Mica, Metal Stream Metallic, Urban Metal and Platinum White Pearl.

And lastly, the price of the facelift goes from the equivalent of Rs. 2.9 million up to 3.7 million.
