Video – Rawalpindi Metro Bus Catches Fire Again

In the second incident in the last six months, the metro bus caught fire at Chandni Chowk Station in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, leaving two passengers unconscious.

As per the media reports, the passengers saved their lives by breaking the window panes. Following the incident, metro bus services were suspended in the twin cities. According to eyewitnesses, the damage was more due to the lack of fire extinguishers on the bus.

A team of Rescue 1122 reached the spot after receiving calls regarding a fire that broke out.

Spokesperson 1122 said that the fire has been brought under control, two passengers were affected by the fire in the metro bus. Both of them are unconscious due to suffocation, they are being shifted to the hospital, they added.

Videos recorded by some passersby is translating the whole scene – the bus bursting into the flames and a dense smoke exuding from it.

Mind you, this is not the first incident, earlier in August 22, a similar incident was reported when Rawalpindi Metro bus caught fire. And media revealed that the bus set ablaze after the engine overheated and caught fire. Passengers were evacuated and rushed to a safer place before the bus burst into flames. No injury or causality war reported during the incident but the bus burnt to ashes.
