US State Lawmakers Want Ban on Electric Vehicles
A group of Republican lawmakers proposed a resolution to ban electric vehicles in the entire state by 2035. The legislators stated that electric cars are not practical and their batteries dissipate the fine resources.
As per Fox Business, “the bill is feasible for state’s economy largely running on gas and oil.” (Pertinent to mention, Wyoming is the eighth largest crude oil producer in the U.S.)
…He Didn’t Mean it
Adding a twist to the story, state Sen, Jim Anderson, who pushed the bill, stated that he doesn’t actually rubbish electric cars. “I don’t have a problem with electric vehicles at all, i have a problem with somebody saying, ‘Don’t buy any more petroleum vehicles, just to get the message out that we’re not happy with the states that are outlawing our vehicles.”
Previously, a bill passed in U.S economic behemoth California phased out petrol engines and limited the use of plug-in-hybrid and gas-powered vehicles. This restriction affect the car sector around the world.
Anderson said that the newly-inflicted regulations in California hinder people from buying electric vehicles; his bill was “just a resolution saying, ‘We don’t like the bill that you did.”
The Bill on Electric Vehicles
The bill read:
“Since its invention, the gas-powered vehicle has enabled the state’s industries and businesses to engage in commerce and transport goods and resources more efficiently throughout the country. Wyoming’s vast stretches of highway, coupled with a lack of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, make the widespread use of electric vehicles impracticable for the state.”
Urging to discontinue the electric car sales, the bill further stated, “will ensure the stability of Wyoming’s oil and gas industry and will help preserve the country’s critical minerals for vital purposes.”

I agree with the lawmakers, how the heck can someone place an EV a clean technology when it is using higher number of natural resources and is using electricity from national grid, which is mostly powered by fossil fuels.
