Lahore Traffic Police in action against tinted glass vehicles

Traffic authorities in Lahore have once again started taking action against tinted glass vehicles; anyone found using tinted glass in their cars after 13 May 2019 will be strictly dealt with.

As per the police, using black papers/sheets on the cars increase security risk which should be avoided at any cost. It is important to note here that the authority has not clarified regarding the policy for JDM cars, which by default comes with tinted glass. Nothing has been mentioned about these cars. However, if someone has a JDM car or company fitted tinted glass; no need to worry at all, the traffic police have the necessary experience to judge whether its a company fitted tinted glass or otherwise.

The authority has urged all citizens to abide by the law for their own safety. Note that in December last year, the local administration of Cantt area Lahore also barred tinted glass users from entering in the in Lahore Cantonment area.

Moreover, aside from Lahore Traffic Police, the Rawalpindi Transport Authority (RTA) has also initiated a crackdown against the illegal bus terminals in the Pirwadahi area of the city.

Secretary RTA Khalid Yasmin Satti led the operation in this regard. According to the details, in operation, the authority took down six bus stands including several illegal hoardings and ticket booths. Commenting on the occasion, the secretary asserted that no one is above the law and any encroachments would not be tolerated whatsoever. The anti-encroachment department of the municipal administration and city traffic police also assisted in taking down these illegal stands.
