Two weeks back, when the federal government proposed the new withholding tax in fiscal budget 2024-25, we informed you in our blog that car prices would be increased soon after the budget was approved. And interestingly, the same happened.
In a new amendment, the withholding tax on cars will now be charged on the ex-factory price rather than their engine capacity like earlier. This move has urged car makers to surge car prices. Following MG Pakistan, Regal Automobiles has also updated its car prices.
According to the company’s official notification, customers will have to pay additional charges of Rs. 135,800 for DFSK Glory 580 Pro as advance tax. Similarly, the new advance tax for Prince-DFSK K07 (Humsafar) and Prince Pearl is Rs. 26,690 and 9,250, respectively.

- The above prices are the maximum suggested retail price, ex-factory per unit inclusive of taxes and dealer commission.
- Any impact on the price due to change in Pak Rupee parity against US Dollar, government levies, tariff Structure, fiscal policies, import policies, etc., will be on the account of the customer.
- The above prices are provisional and subject to change without prior notice and price prevailing at the time of delivery shall be applicable.
MG HS New price
In a notification, the company mentioned that the government has announced the new Withholding tax, and this is how it is going to impact the prices:
- The price of MG HS Essence was Rs. 8,099,000, and with a 2% Withholding Tax, the new amount of tax is Rs.161,980, bringing the price to Rs. 8,260,980.
- Similarly, a new tax on MG HS 2.0L is Rs. 4,64,950, meaning the price would be Rs. 9,763,950.
- Last but not least, the withholding tax on MG HS Excite is Rs. 1,43,980, taking the price to Rs. 7,342,980.
Note: The freight charges are not included in the revised prices, which means that the above-mentioned rates could be slightly different. You can confirm the prices by visiting the company’s dealership. Furthermore, this tax rate and prices are for filers. Hopefully, this blog will help you understand the new tax net on all variants of MG HS.
The glory 580 Por is a very capable crossover but it never took off in the local market. We saw its capabilities from the ‘Karachi to Peshawar’ show the company put on a while back. I believe Pak wheels was also a part of that.
I don’t know if it was bad marketing or parts availability problems or whatever which caused this crossover to never catch-on. I just wanted to know if this Crossover is still alive in the market and is it still selling new?

It supoosed to be a family crossover with 7 seats, if i remember well, but was always more expensive than Honda BR-V, and BR-V today price 6 300 000 PKR cheaper thus.
The third row in Honda BR-V has more space than this DFSK glory.
